The Waxahachie Daily Light in Texas recently announced Travis Smith as its new managing editor. He is replacing Neal White, who has been editor since 1997 and general manager since 2014. Smith was previously the managing editor at its sister paper, the Glen Rose Reporter, also in Texas. His journalism career has also included stints at other Texas outlets, including the Tarleton Sports Network and Brownwood Bulletin. Follow the Waxahachie Daily Light on Twitter.
