The State Journal-Register in Springfield, Illinois, has named Todd Sears as publisher; he will start in the role on August 29. Sears was most recently the vice president for advertising and revenue development for the Richmond Times-Dispatch in Richmond, Virginia, where he served for just under two years. Prior to that, he spent years as The Press of Atlantic City’s advertising director, and was the advertising director then general manager for Capital Newspapers from 2006 until 2013.
