TheWrap has announced two promotions and two new hires. Taking the role of executive editor is Tim Molloy, who rejoined the site as deputy managing editor in October 2015. He was previously on staff with TheWrap as TV editor from November 2010 to September 2014. Also moving up the ladder is Thom Geier, who is now managing editor. Like Molloy, Geier previously served as deputy managing editor, and joined the site in May 2015.

New hires include reporter Matt Pressberg, who comes to TheWrap from the International Business Times, and Umberto Gonzalez, who is known for his site, Heroic Hollywood. Both Pressberg and Gonzalez will cover the film industry in Los Angeles, with Pressberg focused on enterprise business stories, and Gonzalez covering deals, casting and development.
