The Wall Street Journal has hired Julia Verlaine to cover European Union financial regulation. Verlaine will be working out of the Brussels bureau. She was previously covering the same topic for Bloomberg in Brussels where she has been based for the last year. Prior to that, she was a reporter for Bloomberg covering investment banking in London.
