The Washington Post’s newsroom will have some new faces soon:

  • Martine Powers has joined WaPo’s Transportation and Development team. She previously covered transportation for Politico.
  • Elahe Izadi will jump over to the features desk next month to cover pop culture. Izadi has been a general assignment reporter for the Post since 2014.
  • Candace Buckner will join the paper in August as a basketball reporter covering the Washington Wizards. Buckner has covered the Indiana Pacers for the Indianapolis Star since September 2013.
