The Times in Shreveport, Louisiana, announced changes to three leadership positions:

  • Jeff Gauger, most recently executive editor and publisher for The News & Record in Greensboro, North Carolina, steps into the executive editor role. He replaces Alison Bath.
  • Barbara Leader is the Times’ new watchdog and storytelling coach, previously having been a senior writer for Gannett sister paper the News Star in Monroe, Louisiana.
  • Previous Times entertainment editor Michele Marcotte rejoins the newspaper as engagement editor and features strategist. Between stints at the Times, she was food engagement editor for Gannett.
