The Morning Call has named Robert York editor in chief and publisher, replacing the retired David Erdman; York starts August 9. He takes over for Terry Rang, who has served as the interim editor since Erdman’s departure in May. York had served as the senior director for strategic initiatives for the San Diego Union-Tribune for the past three years, and had been at the paper since 1996. Follow The Morning Call on Twitter.
