Reporter Jazmine Ulloa recently jumped from the Austin American-Statesman to the Los Angeles Times, where she’ll cover the California legislature and state government from the Sacramento bureau. For five years, she covered police, government and courts for the American-Statesman, prior to which she put in time at other Texas dailies like the San Antonio Express-News and the Brownsville Herald.
