The Globe Gazette in Mason City, Iowa, soon will have a new publisher. Roy Biondi will take over the role July 5 and will oversee the North Iowa Media Group, which includes the Globe Gazette, as well as the daily Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier and weeklies Mitchell County Press-News, Britt News-Tribune and Forest City Summit. Biondi most recently served as vice president and group publisher for Consumer News Services/ThisWeek Community News in Central Ohio. Follow the Globe Gazette’s Iowa coverage on Twitter.
