The Associated Press has announced key leadership changes. Ian Phillips has been named vice president for international news. Phillips will step in for John Daniszewski who has been named editor at large for standards and ethics. Phillips was serving as Middle East news director based in Cairo for AP since August 2013. He will now be responsible for all the organization’s editors, reporters, photographers and video journalists outside of the United States and will work to coordinate international coverage across all of the AP’s news formats. John Daniszewski has been overseeing the AP’s international news coverage as VP for over a decade. In his new role, he will be handling questions on AP’s global news coverage.
