Daniel Wakin will serve as deputy editorial director for NYT Global at The New York Times. He comes to the new initiative from the NYT’s Culture desk, where he served as deputy culture editor. In his time at the Culture desk he also served as culture reporter reporting from Rome and the Middle East. He has also covered breaking news for the Continuous News desk, and religion for the Metro desk. Prior to joining The New York Times, Wakin worked for The Associated Press.
