Daniel Finnegan begins his new role as publisher and executive editor of The News & Record in Greensboro, N.C on July 4. Finnegan is currently vice president of news and digital audience at the Richmond Times-Dispatch, a position he has held since July 2015. He began at the Times-Dispatch in 1987 as sports copy editor, and has since served as assistant sports editor, assistant managing editor for night news, deputy managing editor, senior editor, and was named editor in July 2011. Finnegan will replace Jeff Gauger who resigned from the News & Record in April. For up to date news out of Greensboro, follow News & Record on Twitter.
