WGCL-TV (Atlanta) has hired Frank Volpicella as news director. He replaces Larry Perret, who exited the CBS affiliate alongside senior executive producer Leesa Dillon. Volpicella most recently was executive news director at KVUE-TV in Austin for over 15 years. He has also worked as a news director at WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama and WTVQ-TV in Lexington, Kentucky. Follow WGCL on Twitter for breaking news and all things #ATL.
