Cision Blog regrets to inform its readers that Terry Tomalin has passed away. He had been the outdoors and fitness editor at the Tampa Bay Times since 1990. He first joined the paper as a police reporter in 1986 when it was known as the St. Petersburg Times. Tomalin previously worked at the Lakeland Ledger and the Leesburg Commercial. While at the Ledger, his story on the Ku Klux Klan’s infiltration of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office prompted the sheriff’s resignation. He was a member of the New York City-based Explorer’s Club, and was a consumate world traveler and outdoorsman.
