Following the departure of Donna Wares earlier this month, The Orange County Register has announced that Todd Harmonson will step into the role of top newsroom editor as senior editor. Harmonson previously served as assistant managing editor overseeing sports for the daily newspaper since January 2014. He joins the senior editorial management team at Southern California News Group and will not only be responsible for multi-platform content at OCR but also the papers’ monthly magazines.

After the recent acquisition of  Los Angeles News Group by Southern California News Group, sports editor Tom Moore will now serve as sports editor for the whole group.
