Elissa Schappell has left her position as contributing editor for Vanity Fair where she also served as a book columnist for the magazine. Prior to joining Vanity Fair in 1994, Schappell was the co-founder and editor at large for Tin House. She was a senior editor for The Paris Review and has authored two books: Blueprints for Building Better Girls in 2011 and Use Me in 2000.
