NBC Universal has revamped its entertainment group, expanding the roles of several top staffers. Alex Sepiol has been promoted to executive vice president of scripted development for NBC’s full entertainment group, which includes USA Network, Bravo, E! and Syfy. He had previously been the senior vice president of original scripted series programming at USA Network. Michael Sluchan takes on the role of senior vice president of current scripted programming for the entertainment group. He was previously the senior vice president of original scripted programming for USA Network since 2013. Heather Olander, who has been senior vice president of alternative series development and production for Syfy, will take on the same duties for USA Network. The network restructuring also includes the exodus of a few staffers. Among those to depart is Paul Shapiro, who had been the senior vice president of original content for Syfy since June 2012, and Erik Storey, who had been Syfy’s senior vice president of original programming. E’s senior vice president of scripted programming Kevin Plunkett is also out. Plunkett had been in the role since October 2011. Check out NBC Universal on Twitter for more programming news.
