Cision Blog regrets to inform its readers that veteran NPR newscaster Craig Windham has passed away. Windham joined NPR in 1995, and was primarily as a reporter delivering top-of-the-hour reports on the major events of the day from Washington. Before joining NPR,  he served as a national correspondent for the Unistar/RKO radio networks and was also a news director for WASH-FM in Washington. He held a Ph.D. in counseling from George Washington University and was an adjunct professor there in the same field. On weekends, Windham counseled people suffering from substance abuse and depression at a local clinic.
