The Center for Investigative Reporting has promoted Amy Pyle to editor in chief. She was previously managing editor at the outlet since August 2014. Prior to that, she was senior editor at CIR for two years. She replaces Robert Salladay, who moved into a new role last October as executive producer for CIR’s new investigative documentary film unit, Reveal Studios.
