The Washington Post has recently promoted Lori Montgomery to deputy national editor. She had most recently been the paper’s America editor since March 2015. Before that, she served as a reporter for the paper since February 2000. Additionally, Barton Swaim has been added as a contributing columnist for the Post, where he will focus on the 2016 presidential campaign. He has previously written for the Wall Street Journal, the Times Literary Supplement and other publications.
