After more than 20 years with Tribune Publishing, Gerould Kern has retired from the company. He most recently served as senior vice president and editor of the Chicago Tribune since 2008. Bruce Dold, who has been an editorial page editor since 2000 and joined the paper in 1978, has been named editor of the paper. John McCormick will oversee the editorial page until Dold’s replacement is named. Additionally, Lauren Zumbach took on the business beat at the Tribune, covering retail and consumer products. She was most recently a metro reporter covering news from Lake County, and joined the paper in 2013. For the latest breaking news in the Windy City, follow the Tribune on Facebook and Twitter.
