ABC News has announced several changes to its Washington bureau. Longtime staffer Dennis Dunlavey will retire after 40 years with the network. In turn, George Sanchez and Matt Hosford have been promoted to senior assignment manager and senior editorial planner, respectively. Sanchez joined ABC News in 2001, most recently serving as assignment desk manager. In his new role he will oversee the bureau’s day-to-day news-gathering operations. Hosford has worked as transportation producer since 2007, having first joined the network as an overnight producer in 2004. Going forward, he will help drive editorial coverage across all ABC News platforms.
