Several staff members have accepted buyouts at The Detroit News. Staffers leaving the publication include meto columnist, Laura Berman.

In addition to Berman, lifestyle columnist Marney Rich Keenan, community reporter and columnist, Tom Greenwood, and film critic, Tom Long, accepted buyouts. Also, sports columnist Terry Foster will exit the Detroit News.

Other staffers exiting the paper include: food writer Kate Lawson, music writer Susan Whitall, Statehouse reporter Gary Heinlein, local news and business editor Joanna Firestone, online editor Mary Bailey, and assistant city editor Judy Diebolt.
