Jim Fogler has been named president and publisher of the Poughkeepsie Journal. He returned to the newspaper and begin his duties at the second-oldest newspaper in America today. Fogler was previously working as the chief marketing officer for Party City. He has also served as the president of marketing for the Democrat & Chronicle in Rochester, New York and was president and publisher for the Burlington Free Press and Ithaca Journal. A native of the area, Fogler also spent time in various marketing roles for the Poughkeepsie Journal over 20 years ago. He replaces Barry Rothfeld who retired from his position of president and publisher in June 2015.
