The Meredith Vieira Show will end production after it’s current and second season. Meredith Vieira will continue her other roles at NBC and transition into coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Vieira served as host and executive producer of The Meredith Vieira Show at the conception in July 2013 beginning her duties in September 2014. Prior to that, she was a host of Today from September 2006 to 2011. Viera has also served as a host on ABC’s The View, host of daytime Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and host of Lifetime Television’s critically acclaimed series, Intimate Portrait. Prior to this, Viera joined ABC News in October 1993 as a chief correspondent and before that spent more than a decade with CBS News. She has earned five Emmy Awards with CBS News for her work as a correspondent on the top-ranking newsmagazines, 60 Minutes and West 57th.
