CBS News veteran Bob Schieffer is coming out of retirement to cover the 2016 elections. His more than 40 years with the network have included roles as anchor of Face the Nation and chief Washington correspondent. Schieffer has covered every presidential campaign and reported at Democratic and Republican National Convention since 1972. He is also one of the few broadcast or print journalists to have covered all four major beats in the nation’s capital: White House, Pentagon, State Department and Capitol Hill.
