Longtime journalist Tom Walsh has accepted a buyout and will retire from the Detroit Free Press later this month. Walsh joined the paper in 1982 and most recently served as a business columnist. During his time at the Free Press, Walsh has held a variety of positions including business editor, bureau chief and city desk reporter.
