Emma Carew Grovum has joined The Daily Beast as assistant managing editor based in the Washington, D.C. bureau. She comes to the outlet from The New York Times, where she had been the opinion staff editor since June 2015. Prior to that, she was director of digital content development at Foreign Policy for almost two years, and had brief stints at The Chronicle of Philanthropy and The Cooking Club before that.
