Joanne Lipman has joined Gannett as its first ever chief content officer. She joins the rebranded USA Today Network and is in charge of bringing 92 local U.S. newspapers with 3,000 journalists together in order to enable more collaboration. She will focus on digital, video and social media projects within Gannett’s network of newspapers. Lipman joins Gannett from a consulting job where she worked with Andrew Heyward, former CBS News president.
