Cision regrets to inform its readers that DJ Timbuck2, real name Time Jones, has passed away at the age of 34. He had been battling cancer. DJ Timbuck2 had been host of the weekly Saturday night program Go Ill Radio on Chicago’s WGCI-FM, where he focused on supporting local emerging artists. He began working as a radio DJ at the age of 12 with fellow Chicago DJ The Twilite Tone, later joining WGCI in 2004. During his career, he worked with Kanye West, Common and Lupe Fiasco, and many others.
