Associated Press Media Editors (APME) has named Sarah Nordgren as executive editor for the organization. Nordgren will also serve as director of United States news operations for The AP. She started her career at AP in 2004 and has served as director of state news, deputy managing editor overseeing operations and recruiting, and director of content development and alliances.
Additionally, AP Denver statehouse reporter Ivan Moreno, has been named supervisory correspondent for AP in Springfield, Illinois, overseeing Statehouse coverage. Moreno is replaced by Jim Anderson who will now hold the position of statehouse reporter for AP in Denver. Moreno held his position in Denver since 2010 and has been with The AP since 2008. Anderson has served as news editor in Denver since 2007, overseeing news for Colorado, Montana and Wyoming.
