Four reporters have retired from the Reno Gazette-Journal. Bill O’Driscoll served as a business reporter at the newspaper for 16 years. He also served as a Capital Bureau chief. Ray Hagar was the newspaper’s politics reporter. He had also served as a sports editor and Carson-Douglas Bureau chief. Susan Skorupa was a lifestyle reporter for the Reno Gazette-Journal, covering the People beat. She had also worked as a reporter covering arts, culture and literature. Jeff DeLong was an environment and conservation reporter covering water, wildlife and Lake Tahoe for the newspaper. He began his career with the newspaper as a reporter and bureau chief at the Carson-Douglas Bureau.
