Michael A. Anastasi has been appointed vice president of news and executive editor for The Tennessean. He joins the paper from The Los Angeles Newspaper Group, where he was executive editor and senior vice president since 2012. Before that, he worked at The Salt Lake Tribune from 2004 to 2012. At The Tennessean, Anastasi fills the role vacated by Stefanie Murray, who departed in August. He will start his new role in late November.
