Shreveport (LA) Times reporter John Andrew Prime has retired after 37 years with the paper covering local history and the military. Prime joined the Times in 1978 and worked as an entertainment reporter, weekend entertainment editor, senior military writer and assistant state editor. After accepting an early retirement offer from the paper’s publisher, Gannett, Prime’s last day was October 30.
