Longtime lead announcer Brian Hammons has announced his exit from the Golf Channel after more than two decades. The play-by-play host for LPGA and PGA telecasts joined the network at its inception in 1994 after serving as weeknight sports anchor for Indianapolis FOX affiliate WXIN-TV. He was one of the founding members of Golf Channel’s on-air staff, and served as host and anchor for Golf Central evening program before becoming a play-by-play host.
