Longtime editor Marcus Mabry has announced he is leaving The New York Times for Twitter, where he will oversee the app’s new Moments feature as the U.S. curation lead. Mabry most recently served as mobile editor for The Times, and first joined the staff in 2007 as international business editor. During his tenure, he was also a political editor, digital editor for The International Herald Tribune, and helped launch the web-based New York Times Minute. He has served as president of the Overseas Press Club of America since 2014, and spent nearly two decades with Newsweek, many of them as a foreign correspondent.
