USA Today is losing one of its original journalists in John Hillkirk. He has been with the paper since its inception in 1982 when he started work in the Money section of the paper. Hillkirk served as a Money editor, executive editor and editor in chief before becoming the managing editor of investigations and national enterprise. He will leave the newspaper at the end of November but will continue to do investigative journalism and has plans to write books. Find more investigative reports on national issues by following the USA Today’s Twitter and Facebook social streams.
