CBS News has announced several departures from its communications department. Sonya McNair is set to step down from her role as senior vice president of communications in November. She was named to this role in March 2011 and joined the network in March 2009. Prior to CBS, McNair served as director of public relations for the New Yorker. Additionally, Kelli Halyard has left for a communications role at Consumer Reports. She served as executive director of communications for the network since May 2010. Lastly, Weesie Vieira has left her role as communications director of CBS This Morning. She has joined BuzzFeed as editorial communications director.
