WGBH, Boston’s public broadcast network, has announced plans to acquire native digital world news site, GlobalPost, in an effort to boost WGBH affiliate Public Radio International’s international reporting by integrating the reporting capacity of GP into PRI. PRI is the nation’s leading developer and supplier of non-commercial audio content. Over 400 hours of weekly programming is broadcasted and streamed online by its 400+ affiliate stations throughout the United States and Guam via Sirius Satellite Radio, and is available internationally through World Radio Network. GlobalPost’s daily international news coverage comes from a team of 70 experienced correspondents stationed in 53 countries around the world, including 70 correspondents in 53 countries.
