Founding data editor Maurice “Mo” Tamman has returned to a data reporting role for Reuters, covering investigations with an international emphasis, while Janet Roberts has been named data editor. Tamman founded the computer-assisted reporting team in 2011, and was previously a news editor for The Wall Street Journal’s computer-assisted reporting team. Prior to joining in Reuters, Roberts was a projects editor for The New York Times. She also served as database editor for the St. Paul (MN) Pioneer Press and a computer-assisted reporting editor for The Star-News in Wilmington, NC.
Ellen Wulfhorst has also been named chief correspondent for the Americas at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, after serving as the national correspondent for domestic news. She covered the 2008 presidential election for Reuters and helped launch the newswire.
