Several top staffers have announced their exits from The Huffington Post. Marc Lamont Hill, a founding host of HuffPost Live, had been with the site since 2012. Hill is a frequent commentator, appearing on CNN, MSNBC, CourtTV and several FOX News Channel programs. He is a also a host for BET News and a professor at Morehouse College. SVP, Head of communication Amanda Schumacher is also saying goodbye. She joined the site in July 2013 after several years in communications for Time Inc.’s lifestyle group. Additionally, Willy Volk, the director of product for HuffPo since April 2014, has moved to Travelzoo to serve as head of product development. He joined the site as deputy managing editor in 2011, following four years as senior editor of publishing for parent company AOL. Lastly, Alena Hall has joined The Odyssey to serve as assistant managing editor. She was an associate editor overseeing healthy living content for HuffPo and wrote for the Third Metric initiative.
