The Philadelphia Inquirer’s editorial board is getting along without Russell Cooke for the first time in 25 years after he retired last Wednesday from the newspaper. Cooke joined the Philadelphia Inquirer in July 1980 as a neighborhoods reporter and later covered city hall before joining the editorial board in 1988. Prior to joining the paper, Cooke wrote for the Philadelphia Bulletin and the Financial Times of London.
