Matt Flegenheimer is changing his coverage at The New York Times starting September 2. He will move to the national politics beat covering the 2016 campaign/elections with a focus on Jeb Bush. Flegenheimer has been covering City Hall since late July 2014. Prior to this, he covered transportation since May 2012. Flegenheimer joined the staff as a metro reporter in June 2011. 

J. David Goodman will replace Flegenheimer covering City Hall. He was most recently based at the NYPD bureau. Prior to that, he was a foreign rewrite reporter since August 2006.
