Carolina Garcia has announced that she will retire from the Los Angeles News Group on Sept. 1. She previously served as managing editor overseeing enterprise and investigative news for the group’s nine daily newspapers. Garcia was named editor of the Daily Breeze and the Press-Telegram in October 2011. She joined the Daily News as executive editor in April 2008. She also worked as managing editor of the San Antonio Express-News and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
