Burke Noel has departed The Daytona Beach News-Journal to take a position as sports manager for The Patriot-News, where he will oversee sports coverage for both print and online. He fills the spot vacated by Michael Sedor. Noel had previously been sports editor for The Daytona Beach News-Journal since January 2011, and was managing editor for the Spartanburg Herald-Journal before that. Replacing Noel at The News-Journal is Scott Zucker, who was previously assistant managing editor for sports and sports night editor at USA Today since October 2013. Before that, he held various sports editorial positions at USA Today since 1996. For local and national news, business and sports coverage, ‘Like’ The Daytona Beach News-Journal on Facebook.
