Longtime news anchor, Ruth Spencer, announced that she will be retiring from NBC affiliate WDIV-TV in December. Spencer joined the station in 1990 and began as a general assignment reporter. She currently anchors the Local 4 News 4pm and 5:30 pm newscasts and helps solve consumer complaints during her “Ruth to the Rescue” reports. For more local news, follow WDIV-TV on Twitter.
