John Russell will join Chicago Tribune this month as a business reporter covering healthcare, including biotech/pharmaceutical industries, insurers and healthcare policy. He is currently a business reporter for The Indianapolis Star covering real estate, urban planning and development.

Russell joined The Indianapolis Star in 2005 covering pharmaceuticals, energy and utilities. He previously served as deputy business editor at the Akron Beacon Journal as well as business reporter after joining the staff in 1997.
