The New York Times has announced that Alessandra Stanley will move to a new interdisciplinary beat, for which she will cover economic inequality in America, analyzing the top one percent of the of income earners in the nation. She steps into the new role after 12 years as chief TV critic for the paper. Prior to her TV coverage, Stanley worked for the Times’ Moscow and Rome bureaus.
