Quartz has hired Adam Freelander and Jacob Templin as video journalists, and Deena Shanker as a contributing writer. Freelander was previously a freelance video editor and an editor for The New York Times. Templin was previously director of video for NationSwell, and Shanker was previously a reporter for Fortune. Before that, she worked at BuzzFeed as healthy food editor.
Also at Quartz, Adam Pasick has been named editor, breaking news/push products. Finally, Hanna Kozlowska has been promoted to contributing writer, breaking news. Pasick was previously managing editor for nymag.com and Atlantic Media’s new business site. Before that, he worked for Reuters for 10 years. Kozlowska joined Quartz in November 2014 as a staff writer. She previously worked for The New York Times and as a fellow for Foreign Policy. She was also associate editor for Poland Today.
