Los Angeles Times has named Cathleen Decker its California politics columnist and William Yardley has been hired as an energy and environment reporter based in Seattle this month. During Decker’s more than 35 years of tenure covering politics for the newspaper, she has served as state politics editor and writer, 2012 campaign editor and deputy national editor for politics.
